Not everyone pictures the same conditions when we talk about summer and winter. For this reason, we prefer to talk about cold, mild/rainy and warm conditions.

When talking about mild or rainy riding conditions, we refer to circumstances between 10° and 25° Celsius according to the metric system or 50° and 75° Fahrenheit if you’re used to imperial.

Mild or rainy conditions let you focus primarily on battling the rain. In this section you’ll find info about differentiators like Water Exhaust and Screen Cleaner as well as complete info about all variations of Raintex membranes.

Raintex membranes are incorporated into our waterproof garments in different ways. Some feature a fixed membrane and others are fitted with a detachable one. There are also jackets with a waterproof liner, which means the waterproof membrane and thermal liner are combined to create a single layer.

Our gear can be fitted with a waterproof Raintex Plus membrane that prevents rainwater from penetrating whilst enabling vapor drops to make their way through. These membranes keep you free from both sweat and rainwater, and are more flexible than a regular Raintex membrane to increase comfort.

In some of our gear you’ll find a waterproof Raintex DL membrane, which means the waterproof membrane is laminated directly against the outer layer. This construction keeps water from penetrating membrane and outer layer, making it the best technique when it comes to waterproofing.

DL membranes prevent water from penetrating the outer layer and getting stuck between outer layer and membrane. This in turn prevents the garment from getting wet, soggy, and heavy. DL garments are also known to dry much faster than regular gear.

There are multiple ways to combat humidity on the visor of your helmet, such as anti-condense sprays and anti fog lenses. But what can you do against actual rain hitting your field of vision? Twist the throttle and try to make it fly off?

There’s a safer and user-friendly solution to this issue, located at the index fingers of our gloves. You’ll find a flexible Screen Cleaner™ that functions like a wiper blade at both hands to enable usage when riding as well as when standing still at, for example, a traffic light.

Membranes indeed block water, but that doesn’t mean water is unable to penetrate the outer layer. This can cause water to get trapped between outer layer and membrane, resulting in your glove becoming wet, cold, and soggy.

By fitting a glove with a Water Exhaust™, we prevent it (and your hand) from getting soaked, cold, and soggy. The Water Exhaust™ drains any excess rainwater that wants to accumulate between the waterproof Raintex membrane and outer layer, causing the glove to dry much faster.

Membranes; not only your best friend when it comes to waterproofness, but also your nemesis when it comes to ventilation. Having the ability to keep water out also means that wind will have a hard time finding its way through the membrane.

Air Scoop™ is a layered construction of the membrane, similar to roofing tiles. The layers are flexible, which enables them to separate themselves from underlying layers when air flow makes its way through. The flexibility also lets them return to their original position as soon as they come in contact with vapor drops.

Waterproofness and ventilation aren’t always the best of friends. A membrane hampers the effectiveness of the ventilation zip or panel, whereas ventilation options create an opening in something that needs to keep water out.

Aqua Stop™ zips are the peacekeepers between waterproofness and ventilation. They consist of a male and female part, both teethless and made of a rubber-like material. Aqua Stop™ zips fully seal an opening, making it suitable even for directly laminated garments.

“Does your sleeve go inside or over your glove to keep you dry?” might just be the motorcycle equivalent of ‘the chicken and the egg’ – kind of. One can make water run inside your glove, whereas the other can make water run inside your sleeve.

Turns out the answer is ‘both’! The inner layer of our Double Cuff is waterproof and the basis of the waterproof construction. It is covered by the sleeve of your jacket, which in turn is covered by the outer layer of the Double Cuff. This creates a labyrinth construction that is guaranteed to keep rainwater out of your gear.

The latest addition to our waterproof membrane collection is Raintex ML, which prevents rainwater from penetrating whilst enabling vapor drops to make their way through. These membranes keep you free from both sweat and rainwater, and are more comfortable than a regular Raintex membrane.

ML stands for ‘mesh laminated’, which means the waterproof membrane is laminated directly against a layer of fine mesh fabric. This fabric is comfortable on the skin as it doesn’t get sticky when riding with a t-shirt underneath, opposed to traditional membrane variants.

The Seat Cover™ is a waterproof extension, developed for urban riders who don’t wear waterproof pants on a daily basis. It is located on the inside at the lower back of a jacket, and held in place by a zip, which makes it easy to deploy in case of (un)expected rainy weather.
