Building your own heated ecosystem is done in 3 simple steps. First, choose pieces of clothing that suit your needs, based on which body parts you would like to heat. Next, select your rechargeable batteries, or the right cables if you want to use the battery of your motorcycle and enjoy an unlimited power supply. Finish up by downloading the MACNA Heated app and control the entire ecosystem on a touchscreen.
First, you’ll have to decide which body part(s) you want to keep warm. Jackets and gloves are equipped with different technologies, so be sure to compare and pick the products that best suit your needs. Most products feature Bluetooth technology and can be managed in the MACNA Heated app. All products are interconnectable so you’ll only need a single power source to power the entire ecosystem.
There are dozens of possible combinations, depending on how many products you choose, which ones you choose, and how you’re going to power them. If the scale of the ecosystem is a bit overwhelming, you can use the guide below to determine which combination suits you best and which products you need to turn fantasy into reality.
You can power your ecosystem using a direct cable connection to your motorcycle for an unlimited supply of power, or by using rechargeable batteries. Gloves can be powered by small batteries in the cuffs, or you can put a larger battery in your jacket to power all your gear.
Bike Powered
Start with the right bike connection cable (1 of 4) and add cables based on your combination of choice. Increase your comfort some more by adding an extension cable or Bluetooth Battery.
Battery Powered
12V batteries heat faster and reach higher temperatures compared to 7.4V. The higher the amperage (A) of the battery, the longer it’ll last before it needs a recharge. The battery of your motorcycle is 12V in most cases.
[!] — When comparing battery life and wattage of 7.4V and 12V batteries, be sure to compare them at the same level of heating, not the same level (1, 2, 3 or 4) of the glove. For example, a 12V battery operating at level 1 is best compared to a 7.4V battery operating at level 3.
