Thanks to new insights provided by our athletes, we’ve managed to innovate their airbags and make a real impact on their safety, comfort, and speed.
Unlike traditional airbags that need to be shipped and serviced after each use, an Octopus airbag can be used up to 6 times before you need to replace the bag. Thanks to the bag’s in-house developed fastening method, the system doesn’t need the be shipped to be serviced and can easily be transferred to another suit.
On average, it reduces the total weight of a rider’s suit by 10%. Weight reduction also means reduction in volume, resulting in better aerodynamic coefficients. All riders displayed a consistent increase in top speed compared to lap times with traditional airbags.

In the event of a crash, our Octopus provides double deployment and protection during a secondary impact, not just when you get ejected from the bike. It provides protection for the shoulders, ribs, and pelvis.
Where traditional airbags make their way over the shoulders to cover the chest area, this unique one moves underneath the arms to protect the front. Thanks to this construction, the chest area enjoys superior ventilation in combination with our highly ventilated RISC™ chest protector.
