A mesh garment offers the best possible ventilation, hence mesh is the most seen fabric in hot-weather gear, together with perforated leather. Because this type of gear is mostly used in hot conditions, there's no waterproof membrane fitted inside. If you want to be comfortable when it gets hot; perforated leather or mesh gear is the way to go.
