R.I.S.C.™ TPR
SINCE 2007
R.I.S.C.™ TPR protection is thermoplastic rubber incorporated in the outer shell. Protection made of TPR can vary in hardness but has a (semi) soft feel to it in most cases.
TPR is a combination of rubber and plastic and has the advantages of both materials. This makes TPR impact-absorbent and abrasion-resistant.
Other advantages are its thermal properties and the fact that it can be moulded and coloured very easily, enabling more stylish protectors compared to traditional ones.
R.I.S.C.™ CARBON TPR
SINCE 2025
All the benefits of TPR, reinforced by the properties of carbon fibres. This lightweight palm protector functions as an impact absorber as well as a slider.
By enabling the hand to slide instead of ‘grabbing’ the surface you’re hitting, the entire body keeps the same momentum, which prevents hyper tension on the hand.
Hyper tension means the stress on a certain part is higher than it can handle, causing the part to break. In most cases this means breaking the important yet fragile scaphoid bone at the palm.
